FOOD BANK

Free of judgment.

FOOD BANK HOURS: Tuesday and Friday 12pm to 3pm, and Saturday 10am to 1pm.

Located at 9 Hanes St.

The Table Food Bank is a warm and welcoming place free of judgment. We welcome anyone from our community to come and shop for themselves based on the limits posted on our food shelves, fridges, and freezers. First time guests are always welcome and can register by providing only their name, address, phone number, and number of dependents. Please bring your ID and Health Cards for family members to each visit. Shoppers representing 1-2 people in a household fill one basket, and families of 3 or more may fill two baskets (plus occasional additional items).

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, and our Food Rescue program, we are able to provide fresh produce, bread, and dairy products at each visit, as well as frozen and non-perishable items. Toiletries, pet food, and baby and feminine products are also available. Please bring your own bags, if possible.

Guests are asked to follow the current Health Unit guidelines posted on our door. Please do not come in person if you are feeling any symptoms of illness, but rather ask a friend to shop for you. Guests typically line up outside and are welcome to shop for a ten minute time frame, with up to three guests inside at a time. New guests may come to the beginning of the line.

Our Food Bank regularly offers beverages, snacks, or a light lunch that may be enjoyed in our MBRP Gathering Space after our guests shop.

Our Exchange Store, although operating on our second floor, offers a number of items to Food Bank shoppers, as well. A children’s play area is available and is stocked with books, stuffed animals and toys. Adult books, magazines, Bibles and Christian literature, puzzles, games, and some clothing and outerwear are regularly available for our guests in our Food Bank area, and as weather permits, outside.

Our Food Bank is happy to post church and community events, services, and offerings on our bulletin board. Members of our Love Connection Team are generally available to meet with guests who request prayer, a listening ear, or have other specific needs. Guests are welcome to write down prayer requests for our Prayer Request Box anytime.

Donations

We welcome financial donations and donations of fresh, frozen, and non-perishable food, as well as toiletry items, baby and feminine products, and pet food, during our regularly scheduled hours of operation. Thank you so much!
